Whole Foods Expands New Jersey Presence With New Eatontown Store at Revitalized Monmouth Square
Whole Foods Market has expanded its footprint in New Jersey with the opening of a new store in Eatontown, adding another location to its growing network across the state. The latest opening marks the company’s 26th New Jersey location and brings a fresh grocery shopping option to residents while supporting the ongoing transformation of the Monmouth Square shopping centre.
The new 40,000-square-foot supermarket officially welcomed customers on Wednesday at 180 Route 35 South in Eatontown. Doors opened at 8 a.m., with hundreds of shoppers arriving early to take part in the grand opening celebration.
To mark the occasion, the company rewarded the first 300 customers with a limited-edition Eatontown tote bag and a special Secret Saver coupon. The promotional coupon offered discounts worth up to $100, giving early visitors an added incentive to explore the new location.
Beyond the celebrations, Whole Foods Market also highlighted its commitment to the local community. As part of the opening event, the company donated a refrigerated van along with food supplies to NJ Rise, a non-profit food rescue organisation. The new store places a strong focus on products sourced from local and regional businesses. According to the company, shoppers will find more than 1,000 products from Northeast suppliers, including several businesses based in New Jersey.
Among the featured local offerings are fresh shiitake mushrooms from Mushroom King Farm in Manalapan, chocolate snacks from Undercover Snacks in East Hanover, and packaged coffee from Paper Plane Coffee Co. in Montclair. These locally produced items are part of Whole Foods Market’s broader effort to support regional suppliers while giving customers access to products made close to home.
The seafood section includes products from Lagniappe Foods, a company based in Orange, New Jersey. In the meat department, customers can purchase products such as Wellshire bacon and Bilinski’s chicken sausage, providing a variety of premium protein options.
Fresh bakery products are also a key part of the new location. Bread is baked daily, with selections that include artisan loaves from Bread Alone Bakery and Balthazar Bakery. The bakery department is designed to provide customers with freshly prepared options throughout the day.
The Eatontown store will operate every day from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m., offering convenient shopping hours for local residents and visitors.
