Pennsylvania Relatives Arrested After Bar Fight Escalates and Two New Jersey Police Officers Are Hurt
A late-night disturbance at a popular Jersey Shore bar ended with two Pennsylvania men facing criminal charges after police said the situation quickly escalated, leaving two Sea Isle City police officers injured during the response.
According to authorities, the incident happened around 11:15 p.m. on July 25 at the Sea Isle Inn/Kix Bar on Landis Avenue in Sea Isle City, New Jersey. Police said officers were called after a fight broke out inside the bar involving 31-year-old Patrick G. McStravog of Pennsylvania.
Investigators said McStravog became involved in a physical altercation with other people at the establishment. By the time emergency responders arrived, he had suffered minor injuries and was being treated by medical personnel. Officials said plans were made to transport him to a nearby hospital by ambulance for further evaluation.
Police said the situation became more difficult as emergency crews worked to help McStravog. Authorities allege that a family member, identified as 60-year-old Robert J. McMonagle, became upset while medical personnel and officers handled the scene.
