NYC Man Identified After Deadly Shooting Inside New Jersey Fast-Food Restaurant

Authorities have identified a 23-year-old New York City resident as the victim of a fatal shooting that took place inside a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Union, New Jersey, on Saturday night. According to officials from the Union County Prosecutor’s Office, the victim, Malek Shepherd, was inside the restaurant as a customer when the shooting occurred. Police responding to the scene found him dead inside the establishment, which is located along Route 22.
In addition to the fatality, six other individuals were injured during the incident. Authorities confirmed that all injured victims were transported to nearby hospitals, where they received treatment for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
