North Bergen Resident Found Fatally Shot Inside Apartment as Investigation Gets Underway
A 47-year-old North Bergen man died after authorities found him with an apparent gunshot wound inside an apartment on Friday afternoon, according to officials in Hudson County.The victim was identified as Christopher Novembre, 47, of North Bergen. Authorities said he was discovered at approximately 1:30 p.m. after North Bergen police responded to an apartment located in the 1500 block of 48th Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Novembre suffering from what officials described as an apparent gunshot wound. Emergency responders located him inside the apartment, and the incident was immediately treated as a fatal shooting investigation.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office is leading the investigation into the case. At this stage, officials have not released additional information about what may have led to the shooting or whether any suspects have been identified.
Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident as they work to determine exactly what happened.
