A peaceful morning jog in Georgia turned into a frightening fight for survival after a woman says a man she had never met allegedly tried to hit her with his vehicle multiple times. The disturbing incident has led to the arrest of a Cobb County man and raised fresh concerns about public safety in neighbourhood communities.
According to authorities, the incident happened on the morning of July 19 in Cobb County, Georgia. The woman was out for her regular morning run when she briefly greeted a man she passed by with a simple “Good morning.” What appeared to be a normal and friendly exchange quickly took a shocking turn.
Police say the man, later identified as 49-year-old Jesse Davis, got into his vehicle shortly after the encounter. Instead of leaving the area, investigators say he began driving in a reckless manner and focused his attention on the woman who was jogging nearby.
The woman told emergency dispatchers that the driver repeatedly steered his vehicle toward her in what appeared to be deliberate attempts to strike her.
