Bridgeton Teen Arrested Following Bar Shooting Incident in Millville

A Bridgeton teenager is facing multiple criminal charges after a shooting at a Millville bar left two women injured, according to authorities in Cumberland County.

The incident happened late on the night of May 23 at a bar in Millville. Police responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 11 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found that two women had suffered gunshot wounds. Authorities said the victims, ages 25 and 48, were each shot in the leg during the incident.

Investigators later identified 18-year-old Andrea Martin of Bridgeton as the suspect in the case. According to information released by the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office, the situation began after a bar employee asked Martin to provide identification to verify that she was legally old enough to consume alcohol.

Authorities said the encounter escalated, ultimately leading to the shooting that injured the two women. Both victims sustained gunshot wounds to their legs. No additional information regarding their medical conditions was released.

Following the investigation, prosecutors charged Martin on May 24 with second-degree aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and third-degree terroristic threats. Law enforcement officials later took her into custody on May 27.

The case remains under investigation, and authorities have not released further details about the events leading up to the shooting or whether additional charges could be filed.
