Trump Escalates Attacks on Former MAGA Allies, Declares ‘NO MORE MR. NICE GUY’ Era

President Donald Trump has sharply intensified his criticism of several former allies within the MAGA movement, marking a new phase of public disputes inside his political circle. In a strongly worded post shared on Truth Social, Trump targeted former counterterrorism official Joe Kent along with well-known conservative media figures Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, and Candace Owens.

In his remarks, Trump used harsh language to describe Joe Kent, referring to him as a “SLEAZEBAG” and questioning his loyalty. Kent previously served as the head of the National Counterterrorism Center, a role Trump says he gave him out of sympathy after Kent faced personal and political setbacks, including losing multiple congressional campaigns and the tragic death of his wife in an ISIS-linked attack in Syria.

According to Trump’s post, tensions increased after Kent resigned on March 17 in protest over the Iran war. Since leaving his position, Kent has publicly criticized the administration’s approach to the conflict and urged a strategic withdrawal. Trump also referenced ongoing investigations involving allegations that Kent may have leaked classified information, claims Kent has denied.

Trump’s response to these developments was unusually aggressive, suggesting that Kent’s actions represented “disloyalty” and labeling him a possible “leaker,” while also stating that future decisions would be different, adding, “NO MORE MR. NICE GUY.”

The former president also expanded his criticism to include prominent conservative media personalities Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, and Candace Owens. These figures have recently voiced concerns about U.S. involvement in the Iran conflict, placing them at odds with Trump’s position. In his post, Trump dismissed them in highly insulting terms, calling them “LOW IQ” and “LOSERS,” and questioning their intelligence and credibility.

He further compared Joe Kent with Tucker Carlson, asking who was “dumber,” and repeated that all of them fall into what he described as a group of individuals lacking intelligence and loyalty. His remarks reflected growing frustration with critics who were once considered part of his broader political support base.

This is not the first time Trump has publicly clashed with members of the conservative media and political ecosystem. Earlier in the month, he had also criticized similar figures after they urged Republicans to reconsider support for him amid broader political and personal controversies.

In a follow-up message, Trump hinted at the idea of categorizing supporters and critics into different groups, suggesting a potential ranking of political loyalty. He described some individuals as “true MAGA” supporters while implying that others fall outside that category, reinforcing divisions within his political movement.

The latest remarks highlight ongoing tensions between Trump and influential conservative voices, raising questions about unity within the MAGA base as disagreements over foreign policy and leadership continue to surface.
