Hudson County Store Sells Winning Jersey Cash 5 Ticket Worth More Than $3.2 Million

A lucky lottery player in New Jersey is waking up millions of dollars richer after a winning Jersey Cash 5 ticket worth more than $3.2 million was sold in Hudson County for Wednesday night’s drawing.
According to New Jersey Lottery officials, the jackpot-winning ticket carried a total prize of $3,280,313. The ticket was purchased at Te-Amo, a convenience and liquor store located on Paterson Plank Road in Secaucus.
The winning numbers drawn for the Jersey Cash 5 game were 2, 18, 19, 31, and 42. Officials also confirmed that the XTRA number for the drawing was 4, while the Bullseye number was 42.
The massive jackpot had continued to grow over nearly two weeks after no player matched all five numbers in the previous 13 drawings. As the prize climbed past the $3 million mark, interest in the game increased across New Jersey before one ticket finally claimed the top reward on Wednesday night.
The latest win follows another major Jersey Cash 5 jackpot claimed earlier this spring. On April 23, a ticket sold at a farmer’s market in Columbus, Burlington County, matched all five numbers and secured a top prize worth $953,629.
With Wednesday’s jackpot now claimed, the prize for Thursday’s Jersey Cash 5 drawing resets to an estimated $150,000, giving players another opportunity to compete for a six-figure payout.
New Jersey Lottery officials remind players that the odds of matching all five numbers and winning the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot with a standard $2 ticket are 1 in 1,221,759.
Lottery winners in New Jersey are encouraged to sign the back of their tickets immediately and keep them in a secure location before beginning the claim process. Officials have not released any information about the winner, and it remains unclear whether the ticket holder has already come forward to claim the prize.
The Jersey Cash 5 game remains one of the most widely played daily lottery games in New Jersey because of its rolling jackpots and relatively favorable odds compared to larger national lottery games. Large jackpot runs often drive increased ticket sales across the state, especially when prizes move into the multi-million-dollar range.
