Florham Park Mother Charged with Murder in Tragic Death of 3-Year-Old Daughter

A Florham Park woman was charged with first-degree murder after her 3-year-old daughter was found dead in a bathtub this month. Emergency personnel found the woman and child in danger at a Woods End Road residence on July 6.
Jeanine Glass, 43 years old, was discovered by the police at 11:30 p.m., just partially conscious. In the bathtub, her small daughter was discovered lying face down in a few inches of water. She was completely dressed and unresponsive when she was discovered. In spite of the fact that they made quick efforts to save the infant, a neighboring hospital stated that they had passed away. People don’t know her name.
The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office stated Glass received medical attention at the scene and proceeded to the hospital. People said her garments were damp. After being released from the hospital, she was arrested for first-degree murder and second-degree child endangerment on July 22. The Morris County Correctional Facility is holding her until her court date. The first appearance date is unknown.
A final cause of death is still pending a postmortem examination by the Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The case was “a heartbreaking and senseless loss,” and prosecutor Robert Carroll offered Florham Park residents and first responders his sympathy. He also asked social media users to address the matter politely and compassionately.
The Florham Park Police, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit are investigating.
