New Jersey Teen in Critical Condition After Being Pulled Unconscious from Clifton Pool Party

Police say that a 19-year-old who was pulled out of a swimming pool in Clifton and revived by first responders the day before was rushed to the hospital on Sunday in severe condition.

Lieutenant Robert Anderson, a spokesman for the Clifton Police Department, said that the department got a report at 4:34 p.m. on Saturday saying that someone was having trouble swimming in a private home pool.

According to a statement released by Anderson on Sunday afternoon, authorities from the Clifton Police Department, the Clifton Fire Department, and hospital-based paramedics were sent to a property located on Lennon Place.

Anderson said, “Police and Fire Department personnel located a male, 19 years old, unconscious in the pool. They quickly removed him and began resuscitation efforts.”  The local hospital took him after he was brought there, and he is still in severe condition there.
