Montclair Road Rage Incident Ends With Slashed Tire at Busy Intersection

Local cops say a lady reported that another car slashed one of her tires after a traffic conflict last week, turning a typical trip through Montclair into a stressful road rage episode.
Pine Street in Montclair, New Jersey, was the scene on February 3. Police say the woman was confronted when she tried to merge into traffic. She yelled at a gray GMC pickup truck driver during the merge. The conversation intensified as both vehicles continued south on Pine Street.
Montclair police reported in their weekly blotter that the male followed the woman after the incident. The situation escalated when both vehicles stopped at Pine Street and Glenridge Avenue.
According to authorities, the pickup truck driver exited his vehicle, approached the woman’s automobile, and slashed her tire. After destroying the car, he drove away in his truck.
A suspect description has not yet been issued by police. No injuries were recorded.
