Tragic Highway Accident Claims Lives of Two Young Drivers in New Jersey

A single-car crash on I-76 in Gloucester City late Tuesday night killed two young people. This raises winter road safety concerns. A crash occurred at milepost 1.2, a mile from the Walt Whitman Bridge.
New Jersey police say 25-year-old Camden resident Angel Roque lost control of his car while driving north. The automobile flew after hitting snow and ice off the right road. The automobile hit a lamp post and wall after overtaking a railing.
Roque was driving with Paulsboro’s Lizvette Alvarado, 18. Throwing two individuals from the automobile killed them. Emergency crews arrived quickly, but no one survived.
The crash is under investigation by state police. Authorities are investigating the accident’s cause, including weather, road conditions, and other variables. Officials warned drivers to be careful on ice roads, especially at night.
This incident highlights how dangerous winter driving in New Jersey is. Be aware, slow down on wet roads, and wear seat belts to keep safe.
Gloucester City officials have sent their sympathies to the families of two killed youth.
