Ocean State Job Lot Celebrates Grand Opening of Its 11th New Jersey Store With Big Crowds and Bigger Giveaways

Ocean State Job Lot opened its 11th New Jersey store this weekend, turning a decrepit Big Lots property in Mays Landing into a bustling community hub. Customers, local officials, and families rushed to the brand’s new 34,000-plus-square-foot store on Saturday morning its big opening.

A new store at 4215 Black Horse Pike in Hamilton Commons boosts retail activity. Ocean State Job Lot sells seasonal, home, everyday, and closeout goods at the former Big Lots facility. Big Lots is known for renovating retail spaces, and this is its 18th conversion this year.

Ocean State Job Lot executives and local officials, including Hamilton Township Deputy Mayor Carl Pitale, cut the ribbon to celebrate more than just another business opening. Atlantic County residents gained jobs, shopping, and investment.

Celebrations continued beyond the ribbon. The company debuted with community support, typical of Ocean State Job Lot. To mark the opening, the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation gave substantially to local organizations. Toys for Kids An whole pallet of toys and adult bicycles were donated to Atlantic County for holiday outreach. Veteran Village of Absecon received a pallet of Operation Sleep Well kits for comfort and necessities.

Early opening-day shoppers received prizes, enthusiasm, and new things. Reopening a long-silent shop in a huge retail complex pleased many local families.
