Tragic Shamong Township Crash Claims Two Lives, Leaves One Person Injured

Two were killed and one injured when a car crashed into a lake in Shamong Township, Burlington County, on Monday evening. The catastrophe rocked the community and raised road safety concerns.

Before 8 p.m., NJ State Police reported the incident on Quaker Bridge Road and Route 206. The car flipped and crashed into the lake, authorities said. Multiple 911 calls brought emergency services to the mangled automobile.

Marlton residents John E. and Theresa Hawley, 66, died. Despite emergency care, a couple died from collision injuries. Another car passenger was hospitalized. Their wounds are uncertain.
