Plans Moving Forward for New TopGolf and QuickChek in Neptune Township

Plans are moving forward for a new TopGolf and QuickChek store in a busy part of the Jersey Shore. This will bring a lot more shopping and fun to Neptune Township.

The building will go up on a 21.5-acre plot of land along Route 66 that used to be home to the Asbury Park Press. The area is known for having a lot of summer traffic as people head to the beach, nearby outlet stores, and big-name stores. It is just off the Garden State Parkway and only a few minutes from the famous beaches of Asbury Park.

Planning papers say that the site will be split into five different lots by developer 3601 Route 66 LLC. The main part of the project will be a 25,500-square-foot Topgolf course on 11.2 acres. It will have high-tech driving ranges, food, drinks, music, and climate-controlled bays for both serious golfers and casual guests. On an additional 2.5 acres, a 5,670-square-foot QuickChek will offer quick shopping, food made to order, and gas service.

The accepted site plan also has room for a fast food restaurant, an 8,000-square-foot restaurant, and an 18,360-square-foot hotel with 100 rooms. Officials in the area say that the project will turn a long-empty piece of land into a lively mixed-use hub, but they haven’t said much about the businesses that will be moving in.

The planning board members for the township all agreed that the TopGolf and QuickChek parts of the project could go ahead with final approval. The board also gave preliminary approval to the other developments. The renovation is part of Neptune’s long-term plan, which is laid out in its Master Plan, to make better use of land that is already there since the township is almost full.

The new complex is in a great spot, so it should get a lot of visitors all year. It will also help the local economy by creating jobs, bringing in more tourists, and opening up new business possibilities. It will bring a new mix of fun, shopping, and hospitality to Neptune residents and Jersey Shore tourists in one easy-to-reach place.
