New Jersey Police Search for Woman After Public Indecency Incident Outside Frozen Yogurt Shop
A woman is being sought by police after an unusual disturbance outside a frozen yoghurt shop in Montclair, New Jersey, where authorities say she exposed herself in public following a disagreement over an unpaid dessert.
According to local police, the incident happened on July 21 at a frozen yoghurt store on South Park Street. Investigators said the woman entered the business and selected a cup of frozen yoghurt before telling employees that she did not have money to pay for it.
Store workers reportedly informed the woman that they could not provide the frozen yoghurt without payment. Police said the situation quickly became heated after the request was denied.
Authorities allege that the woman left the store but remained outside the business. Investigators say she then pulled down her pants in front of the store’s large front window, exposing herself to employees and customers who were inside the shop.
Police further stated that the woman repeated the act moments later, this time exposing herself again while facing the business. The incident was witnessed by people inside the store and was reported to law enforcement shortly afterward.
No physical injuries were reported during the encounter, and police have not announced any additional criminal activity connected to the incident. However, officials are continuing their investigation and are working to identify the woman involved.
Montclair police described the suspect as wearing black glasses and carrying two red bags at the time of the incident. Authorities have not released her name because she has not yet been identified.
