Police confirmed that the crash happened on Saturday afternoon along Route 18 in Ocean Township. The driver, identified as a man from Tinton Falls, was traveling northbound between Route 66 and Deal Road around 4:30 p.m. when the vehicle suddenly veered off the roadway.
Investigators said the pickup truck crossed into the median before colliding with trees. Emergency responders reached the scene quickly, but the driver was pronounced dead at the location due to the severity of the impact.
