Three Adults Hospitalized After Morning School Bus Collision in Bergen County, New Jersey

Three adults were taken to the hospital on Friday morning following a collision involving a school bus and another vehicle in Bergen County, New Jersey, according to local police officials.
The crash happened around 8 a.m. on Broadway near the Woodcliff Lake train station. Authorities said the school bus was involved in a collision with another vehicle during the morning commute hours, a time when traffic in the area is typically busy.
Police confirmed that two adults who were passengers on the bus, along with the bus driver, reported neck pain after the incident. Out of caution, all three were transported to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation. Officials did not immediately release further details on the severity of their injuries, but the individuals were described as being conscious and responsive at the scene.
The bus involved in the crash is owned by First Student, a transportation company based in Rochelle Park that provides school bus services in multiple districts. However, authorities noted that at the time of the incident, it was not immediately clear which school district the bus was serving.
Woodcliff Lake School District officials clarified that the bus involved in the accident was not operating under their district’s transportation services, helping separate the incident from local school operations.
A spokesperson for First Student did not provide an immediate comment when contacted regarding the incident.
Law enforcement continues to review the circumstances surrounding the collision, including traffic conditions and the sequence of events that led to the crash. No additional injuries were reported from the other vehicle involved.
Authorities have not announced any charges or citations at this stage, and the investigation remains ongoing as officials work to determine the cause of the accident.
