New Jersey Set for Sunny and Much Warmer Stretch as Temperatures Climb Into the 80s

New Jersey residents can expect a major shift in weather conditions over the coming days as cooler and cloudy conditions give way to sunshine and significantly warmer temperatures across the state. Forecasts show temperatures steadily climbing through the weekend, with some areas potentially nearing 90 degrees by early next week.
According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, lingering rain showers remained across parts of northern New Jersey and near the Jersey Shore on Thursday morning before gradually fading later in the day. Cloud cover and breezy conditions kept temperatures lower statewide, with daytime highs mostly staying in the 60s while wind gusts reached around 25 mph in some locations.
Weather conditions are expected to improve Thursday night as remaining showers move out and drier air begins settling into the region. Forecasters say this change will mark the beginning of a warmer and more stable weather pattern heading into the weekend.
Friday will continue the transition toward better weather, although a few isolated showers may still develop during the early part of the day, mainly in eastern sections of New Jersey. By afternoon, conditions are expected to become mostly dry with gradual clearing skies.
A noticeable warm-up is forecast to begin on Saturday. Temperatures are expected to rise into the upper 70s and low 80s under mostly sunny skies across much of the state. The combination of sunshine and lower humidity levels is expected to create comfortable outdoor conditions for residents planning weekend activities.
Sunday is projected to bring even warmer temperatures, with highs reaching the low to mid-80s statewide. Forecast models also indicate a slight chance of isolated showers or thunderstorms as a weak weather front moves through the area. Despite that possibility, most of the day is expected to remain dry and warm.
The warming trend is expected to continue into next week. On Monday, temperatures are forecast to climb into the mid and upper 80s, with some areas approaching the 90-degree mark. Tuesday could become the hottest day of the stretch, especially along the Interstate 95 corridor, where highs may reach the upper 80s to low 90s.
Meteorologists say the stretch of above-average temperatures is likely to continue until the middle of next week before another weather system approaches. A cold front expected sometime Wednesday or Thursday may bring cooler conditions along with the return of showers and thunderstorms to the region.
The upcoming weather pattern marks one of the warmest periods New Jersey has seen recently after several cooler and unsettled days earlier this month. With dry conditions and increasing sunshine expected through much of the weekend, many residents are likely to experience a more summer-like feel across the state.
