Bruce Springsteen Surprises N.J. Concertgoers, Joins Zach Bryan at MetLife Stadium

July 21, 2025— East Rutherford, NJ Bruce Springsteen unexpectedly performed at Zach Bryan’s sold-out MetLife Stadium concert on Sunday night, electrifying the crowd. The rock veteran joined the rising country musician onstage to play “Atlantic City,” sending fans wild.

Zach Bryan, 29, paused to announce his guests during the enormous Meadowlands event. He introduced Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill before paying honor to the following guest.

Bryan described the man as one of the greatest individuals ever and one of the sweetest he had ever met. a New Jersey native… Bruce Springsteen!”

Bryan began “Atlantic City” with the opening stanza. Springsteen, 75, played the second verse, and Followill finished the third, creating a majestic three-part folk-rock song. The Boss took the stage in his home state to a cheering throng, inspired by the concert’s atmosphere.

Springsteen and Bryan have collaborated before. The two sang “Sandpaper,” a collaboration from Bryan’s latest album, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Last August in Philadelphia, they sang the same duet and “Atlantic City.”

Springsteen made his first major stage appearance since finishing his European tour in July on Sunday night. His return to the stage at MetLife, just miles from his hometown, was a profound reminder of his music legacy and connection to New Jersey fans.

Zach Bryan’s fall tour includes September gigs in Colorado, California, West Virginia, Indiana, and Michigan. The surprising collaboration between Bryan, Followill, and Springsteen at MetLife Stadium this weekend was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for fans.
