Cold Front Shakes New Jersey Weather With Rain, Strong Winds, and Sudden Chill

A fast-moving cold front is set to change weather conditions across New Jersey, bringing scattered rain, gusty winds, and a noticeable drop in temperatures as the weekend begins. The shift comes after a mild start to Friday, where many areas experienced warmer conditions early in the day before the colder air began moving in.

Rain showers are expected to pass through during the morning hours, especially affecting central and southern parts of the state. Saturday will bring dry weather, but the cooler air will remain in place. Low humidity combined with continued wind gusts, which could again reach up to 30 miles per hour, may increase the risk of wildfire activity in certain areas. Daytime temperatures will stay below seasonal averages, with highs only reaching the low to mid-40s, roughly ten degrees colder than what is typical for late March.

A gradual warming trend is expected to begin on Sunday. Temperatures will recover into the mid-50s, returning closer to normal levels for this time of year. The warming will continue into early next week, with Monday bringing highs in the 60s. By Tuesday and Wednesday, temperatures are expected to climb further into the 70s, with some locations possibly approaching 80 degrees by midweek.

However, the warmer conditions will not come without changes. The return of higher temperatures will also bring increased chances of rain, along with the possibility of thunderstorms beginning Tuesday and continuing through the latter part of the week.
