Late-Night Crash in Ewing Claims Life of 41-Year-Old Pedestrian
According to local authorities, a 41-year-old woman died late on Sunday night in a horrific traffic accident in Ewing, New Jersey. While authorities continue to look into the circumstances behind the tragedy, the incident has sparked worries about pedestrian safety in the neighborhood.
The accident happened around 10:09 p.m., according to the police. close to the intersection of Sixth Street and Olden Avenue. After hearing allegations of a pedestrian being hit by a car, police responded to the site. When they arrived, they discovered the victim, Krystle Tomlin of Trenton, who was subsequently declared dead on the spot.
A 21-year-old man from Egg Harbor was driving a Toyota Tacoma northbound on Olden Avenue in the curb lane when his car struck Tomlin, who was in the road at the time, according to preliminary inquiry findings. Shortly after the first collision, the victim was also hit by an Acura TSX driven by a 39-year-old Trenton man who was in the passing lane.
Both drivers stayed at the scene after the crash, according to authorities, and they are completely assisting law enforcement. The inquiry is still ongoing, and no charges have been made as of yet.
