White House Explains President Trump’s Recent Hand Bruising During Davos Event

President Donald Trump was spotted with a bruise on his left hand at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, sparking social media conjecture. The photographs of a dark purple mark emerged during Trump’s Board of Peace signing ceremony.

After the attention, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt explained that the president accidently smacked his hand on the signing table corner, bruising it. She stressed that the mark did not cause health problems.

Due to his frequent aspirin use, officials said the president bruises his hands more easily. Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, Trump’s doctor, said the president takes 325 milligrams of aspirin daily for cardiac prophylaxis. Trump says his lengthy regimen helps maintain “thin blood” for heart health, despite advice to cut the dose.

Images and reports show bruising about ten minutes into Davos. President Trump has bruised hands before. He has been pictured with comparable right hand marks since February. Previously, frequent handshakes at public events and aspirin use were blamed. The president said the bruising comes from shaking hands with many people daily.

The note by Barbabella attributes slight bruising to soft tissue irritation from repeated handshakes and aspirin use. He stressed that President Trump is healthy and competent of serving as Commander in Chief despite these blemishes.

The White House explains to quell public curiosity and reassure that the president’s health is unaffected. While such bruises may draw attention, they are typical in people taking daily aspirin, especially when mixed with regular physical activity like handshaking.
