Shortages are stopped before they create big power outages at home, officials said. Due to a lack of natural gas, 186,000 New Jersey families heat using propane. These people need propane since the weather is worsening and nighttime lows are frigid.
Governor Murphy proclaimed a home safety and warmth emergency. This injunction will remain until officials restore propane delivery. State officials encourage generator users to be careful in cold weather.
