Phil Mickelson Criticizes U.S. Immigration Policy Following Minneapolis Mayor’s Somali Message

Phil Mickelson is the latest celebrity to support immigration limits. He said this when former President Donald Trump and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey clashed about Somali immigrants.
Mickelson wrote Wednesday on U.S. and foreign illegal immigration sentences. Singapore, Malaysia, Qatar, Russia, North Korea, Hungary, South Africa, and Japan. In prison, they may be beaten, forced to work, or killed. People pondered if immigration policy was fair and effective because he thought the US was too soft on immigrants.
The golfer responded after Trump called Somali refugees “garbage” who “contribute nothing” to the nation. Congressmen, activists, and community groups criticized Trump’s aggressive comments.
Mayor Jacob Frey responded to Trump’s comments in English and Somali to Minneapolis’ Somali community. Frey said Somalis boost the city’s economy, society, and public life.
“We love and stand with you, Somali community,” Frey said, promising city protection. He said deporting someone for their appearance or race would lead to wrongful arrests.
Minneapolis citizens are still safety-focused, argues Frey. He said cops will not help the feds find Somali immigrants. In immigrant-heavy districts, the mayor said the federal and municipal governments don’t always get along.
Mickelson, Trump, and Frey’s fight shows US immigration’s gravity. Famous people influence politics. Mickelson’s post was notable because it was published after Minneapolis’ mayor supported Somalis.
Immigration is contentious and in the spotlight. Running a nation is hard with so many people. Humanitarian issues, fair law enforcement, and local-federal power asymmetries are essential news.
