URGENT Warning: Fake Labubu Dolls Are a Deadly Danger to Kids

A major safety warning has been issued for a popular toy. U.S. safety officials are telling parents to immediately throw away fake “Labubu” dolls because they could be deadly for small children.

These fake dolls, sometimes called “Lafufus,” are being sold online and in some stores. They are not the real thing and are very dangerous.

Why Are These Fake Toys So Dangerous?

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) says these fake Labubu dolls are a serious choking hazard for two big reasons:

They are very small. A child can easily put the whole doll in their mouth, which can block their airway and stop them from breathing.

They break apart easily. The fake toys are made poorly and can break into small pieces. A child could then choke on those pieces.

A top safety official said, “These fake Labubu dolls are dangerous, illegal, and have no place in American homes… Protect your children and buy only from reputable sellers.”

It’s Important to Know the Difference Between a Real Toy and a Dangerous Fake

Here’s what to look for:

FAKE Labubu Dolls:

• Are sold for a very cheap price.

• Have colors that are too bright.

• Have the wrong number of teeth.

• Do NOT have an official “Pop Mart” holographic sticker.

• Do NOT have a QR code that links to the official Pop Mart website.

• Do NOT have a UV light stamp on the foot.

REAL Labubu Dolls:

• Are sold from trusted, official stores.

• Have a holographic Pop Mart sticker on the box.

• Have a QR code you can scan.

• Newer versions have a special UV stamp on one foot.

What Parents Should Do

If you have a fake doll, stop using it right away. Throw it in the trash to keep your children safe.
