Two Young Adults Rescued From Barnegat Bay After Emergency at Seaside Heights Beach
Two people were hospitalised Thursday night after a dangerous water emergency at a bayfront beach in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. Emergency crews responded quickly after receiving reports that a person had become unconscious in the water, leading to a large-scale rescue effort that involved multiple fire, police, and emergency medical agencies.
According to local officials, the incident happened around 8 p.m. near Sunset Beach along Barnegat Bay. First responders were dispatched after receiving an emergency call reporting an unconscious individual in the water.
When rescue teams arrived, they found that one of the victims had already managed to get out of the bay and reach safety. Despite making it to shore, the individual informed responders that another person was still missing in the water, approximately 30 feet from the shoreline.
The information immediately triggered an expanded search operation as emergency personnel began scanning the area for the missing victim. Firefighters, police officers, and rescue teams worked together under challenging conditions to locate the person as quickly as possible.
