Young Child Hospitalized After Tractor Accident at Cape May County Home

A tractor accident at a Cape May County home hospitalized a 4-year-old kid Sunday afternoon, according to New Jersey State Police.

Officials reported a Route 9 crash near Dennis Township’s Ocean View. Police claimed the child fell off a tractor and was hit by a wheel. After reporting the crash, emergency personnel responded quickly.

Cape Regional Urgent Care in Upper Township was the State Police’s 3:32 p.m. destination. The youngster was transferred to a local hospital for serious injuries. Police reported the boy’s non-life-threatening injuries.

New Jersey State Police are investigating the crash. No new information was revealed Tuesday. How and whether anyone else was present when the toddler fell from the tractor are unknown.
