Woman Arrested for Assaulting Federal Agents in Washington, D.C.

A 44-year-old woman from Washington, D.C. got arrested because she tried to stop the police. The police were giving two gang members to ICE. This happened at a jail in D.C. The woman’s name is Sydney Lori Reid, and she also hit some officers while trying to stop them.

  • Charges: Assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain federal officers or employees.

  • Incident: Reid reportedly acted aggressively toward ICE agents during the transfer, creating a dangerous situation that could have allowed the two suspects — described as criminal alien offenders — to escape and possibly reoffend.

“Her actions could have led to serious injuries to federal agents and allowed dangerous individuals to escape justice. HSI will continue to investigate and take action against anyone obstructing federal law enforcement.”

The case is being investigated by HSI Washington, D.C. and prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.
