Violent Dispute in Middle Township Leads to Attempted Murder Charge

A late-night argument inside a home in Middle Township, New Jersey, turned violent and left one man seriously injured, leading to the arrest of a 38-year-old suspect now facing multiple criminal charges, according to local authorities.

The incident happened just before midnight on Tuesday at a residence located on the 300 block of Reeves Street in the Whitesboro section. Officials say the situation escalated quickly during what began as a verbal disagreement between two individuals who knew each other.

Investigators report that the suspect, identified as Andrew M. Enman, had arrived at the home with the intention of picking someone up and giving them a ride. However, an argument broke out, and during the confrontation, Enman allegedly pulled out a knife and attacked a 43-year-old man. The victim was stabbed in both the neck and shoulder, resulting in serious injuries that required immediate medical attention.

Emergency responders transported the injured man to a nearby hospital, where he received treatment. Authorities have not released further details about his current condition, but confirmed that he survived the attack.

After the incident, Enman fled the scene in a pickup truck. Despite attempting to escape, his vehicle reportedly had a flat tire, which limited how far he could travel. Law enforcement officers located him a short distance away and took him into custody without further incident. He was later transported to the Cape May County jail.

During the investigation, police recovered the knife believed to have been used in the attack near the driveway of the home where the incident occurred. This discovery played a key role in supporting the charges filed against the suspect.

Enman is now facing serious legal consequences, including a charge of attempted murder. In addition, he has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and three separate weapons-related offenses. Court records indicate that he is currently being represented by a public defender.

Authorities are continuing to review the circumstances surrounding the incident and are encouraging anyone with additional information to come forward. Law enforcement officials stress the importance of community cooperation in helping ensure a full and accurate investigation.

This case highlights how quickly personal disputes can escalate into life-threatening situations, underscoring the need for conflict resolution and awareness in emotionally charged moments. As the legal process moves forward, more details may emerge regarding the events leading up to the attack.
