New York’s Dumbo Market Expands to Hoboken with First New Jersey Location at Southend Lofts

Southend Lofts in Hoboken will host Dumbo Market’s first Garden State store. This is a milestone for the family-owned business’s development outside NYC.

Southend Lofts at 38 Jackson Street will host Hoboken Dumbo Market’s 12,700-square-foot ground-floor business. A store and a bright public atrium for residents and guests will fill the 50,000-square-foot commercial space.

Southend Lofts is a gorgeous 19th-century Davis Baking Powder and My-T-Fine Pudding factory makeover. Luxury apartment complex combines industrial and modern style. Over 20,000 indoor and outdoor square feet with 110 condos. Manhattan skyline vistas and the 8th-floor Overlook’s 40-foot pool are highlights.

New Dumbo Market will showcase luxury residences and a vibrant community. The winter Southend Lofts public opening will coincide with the autumn 2026 market start. Brooklyn gourmet food is coming to Hoboken.

Dumbo Market, recognized for its high-quality, locally sourced goods, will sell organic produce, artisanal cheeses, salads, sushi, flowers, and chef-prepared entrees. The store will have a large liquor section and grocery-style personalization.

“We want to know every single customer’s name, like a mom-and-pop store from back in the day,” said Asad Mujalli, who runs the business with his five siblings under their father Imad and uncle Mohammad Quality and community involvement have won over New York clients for the family business.

Six years after opening in Dumbo, Brooklyn, Dumbo Market expanded to Boerum Hill and plans to operate in Long Island City and Manhattan’s Upper East Side by 2025. To entice Southend Lofts renters and the community, the company will launch outside New York in Hoboken.

Dumbo Market at Southend Lofts shows Hoboken’s rise as a New Jersey lifestyle and residential destination. The building illustrates a developing trend of blending historic architecture with modern living, while Dumbo Market gives expensive urban living a neighborhood feel.
