New Jersey Drivers Find Relief at Select Fuel Stations as Gas Prices Stay Elevated Nationwide

Gas prices across the United States continue to remain high, placing pressure on household budgets and daily commuters. While global supply tensions and market uncertainty have kept fuel costs elevated, some stations in New Jersey are still offering comparatively lower prices, giving drivers a chance to save on their daily fill-ups.
The rise in fuel prices has been linked to ongoing global supply concerns, including disruptions in key oil shipping routes. Even though the United States produces a large amount of oil domestically, crude oil is still traded in the global market, meaning local prices are influenced by international events and trader expectations. As a result, any threat to supply stability quickly reflects at the pump.
According to recent data, the national average price of gasoline on April 27 stood around 4.11 dollars per gallon. This shows a steady increase compared to the previous week and a significant jump compared to last year, when prices were much lower. In New Jersey, the average price is slightly below the national figure at about 4.09 dollars per gallon, but it still remains a burden for many drivers.
Economists and industry experts note that sustained high fuel costs are changing consumer behavior. Many households are not only adjusting travel patterns but also cutting back on other discretionary spending to manage overall expenses. This shift highlights how fuel inflation is affecting broader economic activity, especially for working-class families.
Despite the overall rise, several gas stations in New Jersey are currently offering prices well below the state average. These locations have become important for cost-conscious drivers looking to reduce fuel expenses during daily commutes or long-distance travel.
The following stations are among the cheapest reported in New Jersey recently:
One station branded 76 in Cherry Hill is offering fuel at around 3.67 dollars per gallon at its Marlton Pike East location. In the same area, a U.S. Gas station on NJ-70 is also offering a similar price of 3.67 dollars per gallon. Another Fuel 1 location on NJ-70 West in Cherry Hill is matching this price, making the area a small hub for lower-cost fuel options. Additionally, a Fuel 4 station on Marlton Pike West in Cherry Hill is also selling gasoline at approximately 3.67 dollars per gallon. In Keansburg, another Fuel 4 location on NJ-36 is slightly higher at around 3.69 dollars per gallon but still below the state average.
These variations highlight how fuel prices can differ significantly even within the same state, depending on location, competition, and operating costs. For many drivers, tracking these differences has become an essential part of managing weekly budgets.
As fuel prices continue to fluctuate, experts suggest that consumers remain alert to local price changes and plan refueling strategically. While broader economic factors are unlikely to bring immediate relief, localized price competition may continue to offer temporary savings in certain areas of New Jersey.
