Man Arrested Minutes After Alleged Bank Robbery in Stratford, New Jersey

The PNC Bank robbery suspect was captured in Stratford, New Jersey Friday morning. Police claimed 39-year-old Stratford resident James Grady was seen walking near the crime scene immediately afterward.

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office reported a theft at PNC Bank on White Horse Pike’s 100 block at 11:15 a.m. Investigators believe Grady left the bank for money. Many believe he escaped on foot after receiving the money.

After getting the call, officers communicated promptly. A man who fit the description appeared soon after. Grady had the stolen money and a PNC Bank pen when cops arrived. These linked him to the crime, officials said.

Grady was arrested without incident for second-degree robbery. Camden County jail holds him for court. No lawyer was listed in his court records Friday night.

Court documents imply Grady was a crook. He served nearly a year for criminal damage in September 2021. In 2010, Dollar General and Firestone auto repair shop burned in Glassboro, resulting in aggravated arson charges.

Investigators want witnesses to call Stratford Police or the Camden County Prosecutor.
