White House Press Secretary Finally Reveals Results of Trump’s Mysterious MRI

On Monday, White House officials revealed the MRI scan findings for Donald J. Trump, ending weeks of public speculation about his health. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt read a memo from the president’s doctor, Sean Barbabella. The memo described the MRI as part of a “comprehensive executive physical” that included advanced imaging of Trump’s cardiovascular system and abdomen.

The doctor wrote that the cardiovascular and abdominal tests were “perfectly normal.” Smooth vessel walls, normal-sized heart chambers, and no arterial constriction, inflammation, clotting, or other abnormalities were found in the heart and blood arteries. Abdominal imaging showed all main organs were healthy and “well-perfused,” with no acute or chronic concerns.

Leavitt stressed that such extensive imaging is usual for Trump’s age and aims to detect health issues early. She claimed the document release was part of the administration’s transparency commitment after public demand.

New scan information contrasts with earlier uncertainties. Trump said only that “it wasn’t the brain,” because he had passed a cognitive test. That uncertainty raised questions about whether the imaging was related to recent public concerns, such as ankle swelling and hand bruising.

The October scan is now promoted by the White House as a preventive step, part of a larger physical that included an MRI. The administration hopes the clean report will reassure supporters and detractors that Trump is in “excellent overall health” at 79.
