Wheelchair Involved in Alleged Nordstrom Theft at New Jersey Mall, Police Report

Two New York City men were detained in Bergen County for stealing from a busy Nordstrom. Local authorities reported a wheelchair-bound suspect.
The borough police guarded Paramus Park Mall Thursday night. Before 7:30 p.m., cops spotted a 32-year-old pull a 31-year-old wheelchair-bound man into a store. Investigators saw their movements after probing mall and nearby store thefts.
Police and mall security spotted two men buy expensive perfumes and caps. Police believe the goods were taken and buried unpaid. Items stolen totaled $1,200.
Police halted the suspects discreetly outside the institution. Two NJ corporate thieves were arrested. Police said the suspect was wheelchair-bound after an injury but didn’t clarify.
Last week, police accused wheelchair-bound man of LensCrafters theft. Before, police reported $12,000 prescription lens theft. Investigations continue.
Both were arrested in Paramus mall and held in Bergen County. They didn’t identify local retail infractions police investigated.
New Jersey police and mall managers fear organized shoplifting. Local police have increased store patrols and crime prevention.
Officials highlighted that all claims are allegations until proven guilty.
