“Wheel of Fortune” Spins Into High Gear with High-Stakes Multiplier Tournament

A stunning new format on Wheel of Fortune is thrilling viewers for one week only. From Monday, November 24 to Friday, November 28, the program will feature a DraftKings Casino Multiplier Tournament with big prizes and new gameplay.

The huge wheel will receive two “DraftKings Casino” multiplier wedges in the first four episodes (Monday to Thursday). Contestants who land on a wedge can earn $1,000 for each properly predicted consonant, with a multiplier up to 5×. Compared to conventional show rounds, this alone offers enormous possibility.

The stakes increase on Friday. The top three Monday–Thursday winners will play a final game. Win the game to advance to a new bonus round with five rapid-fire “Toss-Up” puzzles worth $10,000 in 45 seconds. The twist arrives after the puzzles: the bonus wheel contains envelopes with multipliers (2×, 3×, or 4×) instead of monetary values. Whatever the competitor won from the five puzzles will be multiplied by the revealed value.

The “10× Multiplier Wild Wedge” will be the highlight of Friday’s regular-round competition. Contestants who land on the 10× wedge and win their game carry it into the bonus round. If the envelope wheel has a 10× multiplier, solving all five puzzles ($50,000) and hitting the multiplier could increase the total prize to $500,000.

This event marks a strategic partnership between Sony Pictures Television’s Wheel of Fortune producers and DraftKings. Suzanne Prêt, President of Game Shows at Sony Pictures Television, attributed the format change to the show’s standards-setting integrations.

Home viewers can participate. Viewers can enter a bonus round category or puzzle on the show’s website to win $10,000 throughout the week.

This weeklong event provides Wheel of Fortune fans a new experience by reimagining the show with increased stakes, tight scheduling, multiplier dynamics, and viewer engagement. While the chance to win half a million dollars may garner attention, the format adjustment demonstrates how TV staples can grow with gaming companies while maintaining fundamental gameplay, such as puzzles, spinning the wheel, and calling letters.

Game show fans and those interested in how entertainment forms are changing to new sponsorships and reward structures should watch this tournament week.
