This week, Wawa opened a new store on Route 1 in Edison, expanding its presence in New Jersey. Wawa will welcome customers with special offers, community-focused events, and its characteristic festive atmosphere on Wednesday morning at 8 a.m.

Beyond a new convenience store, the grand opening promises more. Free, any-size hot coffee will be offered at the Edison store for the first four days to warm up the new community hub. A T-shirt commemorating the store’s opening will also be given to the first 100 customers.

The ribbon-cutting celebration will feature Wally Goose, Wawa’s mascot, and special guests. Old Red Bulls great Luis Robles will attend, bringing sports interest to opening day. Wawa’s annual “Hoagies for Heroes” competition, where area first responders compete in a friendly hoagie-making challenge to commemorate collaboration and public service, will highlight community participation.

Wawa’s $6 Meal Deal launch adds to the frenzy. The promotion offers value and variety with a Shorti Hoagie, wrap, or chicken sandwich, a small fountain drink, and a bag of Herr’s chips. Wawa’s Edison partnership emphasizes cost and fresh food.

This Edison store is part of Wawa’s New Jersey development. Just last week, the company celebrated another opening in Pennsville, Salem County, indicating continued expansion. Wawa’s debut in Middlesex County delivers convenience and community through events, promotions, and local group partnerships.

Each new Wawa shop in New Jersey becomes a community hub for coffee, hoagies, and community spirit. Edison is now one of several towns where locals visit Wawa daily for quick meals, snacks, and a neighborhood feel.
