Vance Blames Biden for High Costs as White House Defends Its Economic Record

Vice President JD Vance defended President Donald Trump’s record and blamed former President Joe Biden for rising living costs on Tuesday. At a Pennsylvania event, Vance addressed voters’ concerns about the administration’s misleading economic signals.

President Trump has lauded the economy in media engagements in recent weeks. Many polls demonstrate public dissatisfaction with housing, healthcare, and groceries. Republican political threats are growing from that gap between official optimism and widespread worry.

Vance responded to the tension by saying many Americans struggle with affordability. Instead of disregarding the issue, he said the previous administration caused significant economic damage. Democrats generally mention increased expenses and decreased purchasing power, which he thinks is true but wrong.

Vance blames Joe Biden’s policies for the affordability crisis, not Trump’s. He said the present administration’s economic difficulties are still hurting Pennsylvania families. His statements were tougher than Trump’s, which ignored affordability.

The vice president highlighted that lowering costs is a White House goal but would take time. Fixing economic institutions, stabilizing pricing, and restoring consumer trust after years of poor economic management takes time. Vance said the administration would lower energy prices, keep wages competitive, and gradually reduce household financial concerns.

Vance expected voter patience despite polling revealing widespread economic dissatisfaction. Americans know long-term economic recovery takes time and acknowledge the leadership’s challenges, he said. He denied that inflation and rising prices may affect Republicans in next elections, saying voters can see the broader picture.
