Trump Targets Fox News Personalities in Late-Night Social Media Rant

President Donald Trump sharply criticized two well-known Fox News personalities in a late-night social media post on Thursday, once again highlighting tensions between the former president and figures within a network often seen as supportive of him.
In his post, Trump directed separate remarks at “Fox News Sunday” host Shannon Bream and Jessica Tarlov, a political commentator on “The Five.” His comments focused on both their on-air discussions and their approach to political coverage.
Trump first took issue with Bream’s recent coverage, accusing her of misrepresenting the SAVE America Act, a proposal that includes stricter rules on mail-in voting and would require proof of citizenship for federal elections. He also criticized the tone of her program, saying it does not challenge Democratic viewpoints strongly enough. According to Trump, hosts should push back when he believes misinformation is being presented, something he claimed was not happening on her show.
The former president then shifted his focus to Tarlov, calling on Fox News executives to remove her from the network. His remarks were particularly harsh, criticizing both her commentary and her overall presence on television. Trump stated that viewers do not respond well to her appearances and questioned her role on the network.
This latest reaction comes shortly after a weekend broadcast in which Representative Jake Auchincloss appeared on Bream’s program. During the discussion, Auchincloss described a joint U.S.-Israeli military operation in Iran as a “strategic failure.” He also warned about broader geopolitical consequences, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz, a critical route for global oil and gas shipments.
Auchincloss emphasized that while Iran should not develop nuclear weapons, recent actions may have unintentionally strengthened Iran’s strategic position in the region. His remarks added to an already tense international situation involving U.S. policy toward Iran.
At the same time, Trump has taken a firm stance on the issue, warning Iran of serious consequences if it does not meet a specific deadline to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The waterway has reportedly been blocked since late February following the launch of a military operation. Trump has indicated that failure to comply could result in significant damage to Iran’s infrastructure, while also suggesting that negotiations may still be underway.
Although Trump did not clearly explain why he singled out Tarlov in his latest post, his criticism of her is not new. She has previously challenged his policies and rhetoric on-air, including recent remarks where she described the former president’s statements toward Iran as inappropriate. Her comments followed a controversial social media post from Trump in which he issued a strongly worded warning to Iranian leadership.
This exchange reflects ongoing divisions not only in U.S. politics but also within media coverage of major national and international issues. Trump’s public criticism of media figures, including those on networks generally aligned with conservative audiences, continues to draw attention as the political landscape evolves.
