Trump Shares Update on Tiger Woods’ Health After Florida Crash Incident

A fresh update on the condition of Tiger Woods has emerged following his recent car crash in Florida, with former U.S. President Donald Trump offering insight into the golfer’s health and ongoing struggles with physical pain.
Speaking publicly days after the March 27 incident, Trump said Woods is “doing good” despite facing significant physical challenges. He described the golf legend as someone who continues to live with constant pain due to long-term injuries, particularly involving his back and leg. Trump, who has known Woods for many years and considers him a close friend, emphasized that although Woods remains strong, his daily life is affected by ongoing medical issues.
The update comes after authorities released details of the crash investigation. According to the report from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Woods was involved in a single-vehicle accident on a residential road in Jupiter Island, where his vehicle struck a truck and overturned. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported for either Woods or the other driver.
Law enforcement officials noted that Woods showed signs of impairment at the scene. Deputies observed that his movements were slow, his speech appeared lethargic, and his eyes were bloodshot. During questioning, Woods told officers he had taken prescription medication earlier that morning. Authorities later confirmed that the medication found in his possession included hydrocodone, an opioid commonly prescribed for pain management.
Despite these observations, Woods passed a breathalyzer test, which showed no presence of alcohol. However, he declined to undergo a urine test. Based on the totality of the situation and field sobriety tests, deputies concluded that Woods was not in a condition to safely operate a vehicle at the time of the crash. He was taken into custody and later released on bail after several hours.
The report also highlighted Woods’ extensive medical history, which includes multiple back surgeries and numerous procedures on his leg and ankle. During the sobriety tests, officers noted that he had difficulty maintaining balance and walking steadily, which Woods attributed to his prior surgeries and physical limitations.
Authorities confirmed that the crash caused approximately $5,000 in damage to the other vehicle. Witnesses at the scene assisted Woods in exiting his overturned car, as he had to climb out from the passenger side.
As of now, neither Woods nor representatives from the PGA Tour have issued an official statement regarding the incident or his current condition. His agent has also not responded to requests for comment.
Trump’s remarks remain the only public update from someone close to Woods, offering reassurance that the golfer is stable while also shedding light on the physical challenges he continues to endure.
