Trump Highlights Global Peace Efforts After Receiving FIFA’s First-Ever Peace Honor

On Friday, Trump received the first FIFA Peace Prize at the Kennedy Center. Trump donned the gold bracelet as FIFA President Gianni Infantino applauded.

Trump claimed he valued the reward after Infantino started the conversation. He said his second term’s U.S. activities helped the world. He declared his administration ended DRC massacres.

His statement came the day after the DRC and Rwanda reduced hostilities in eastern Congo. This provides the U.S. additional control over local minerals. Trump said the accord would lead to global security.

Trump said his leadership made the world safer. He stated the US led global relations again last year. Trump said early engagement solved problems for his government.

President Trump instantly proposed the 2026 World Cup in the US, Mexico, and Canada. He admired peacekeeping too. He said record ticket sales and the tournament’s early success were positive for North American soccer. FIFA said two million fans bought tickets worldwide. Trump praised the numbers.

The president praised Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney for 2026 World Cup preparations. Trump said all three nations want peace, progress, and wealth and commended their cooperation.

An annual FIFA Peace Prize goes to a community builder and planet protector. A non-athlete humanitarian received a FIFA medal.
