Toddler Critically Hurt in Major Crash on Route 70 in Evesham Township

The tractor-trailer slammed Evesham Township cars Saturday afternoon. A 1-year-old is really sick. The accident occurred on Route 70 and Locust Avenue at 12:30 p.m. Police say the truck hit two more automobiles after running a red light.

A baby was in the car. The crash may have killed the child. A 911 call transported the child to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where they are suffering. Another person was lightly harmed. The accident scene treatment eliminated the need for hospitalization.

Police said all drivers monitored the crash site and assisted investigators. Police are still investigating the crash and have not filed charges. Police stopped Two-way Route 70 for hours to gather and clean evidence.

Due to traffic and accidents on Route 70, residents fear the disaster. Witnesses are requested for ongoing investigations.
