This Retro North Wildwood Motel Transforms Into Modern Condotels, Reviving Vacation Rentals

The renovated North Wildwood motel turned condotel is charming and convenient for visitors and investors. Modern amenities and short-term rentals remain after city renovations.

Panoramic Motel is now a 23-unit condotel. These condos aren’t short-term rentals. The 20-night North Wildwood rental limit applies to daily and weekly rentals. Since owners can’t live there, short-term tourism is encouraged.

Condotels have modern finishes but motel charm. Paint, vinyl plank flooring, windows, doors, roof, and bathrooms were updated. The pool was cleaned for guests. One-bedroom apartments with kitchens and furniture are 350–360 sq ft. These updated units cost $299,777 to $314,777 plus a monthly condo fee for utilities, insurance, and exterior maintenance.

Brian Reed of Long and Foster Real Estate recommends condotels for short vacations. Visitors spend days or weeks exploring local restaurants, attractions, and activities. Visitors ride once or twice, but vacationers explore. Reed sold 13 partially renovated 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments.

Beach House Condominiums are fun beach accommodations four blocks from the boardwalk. A single-family home replaced Ivanhoe Motel. Old North Wildwood motels were rebuilt to balance history and tourism.

In a city with many summer tourists, Mayor Patrick Rosenello supported the project because short-term rentals are important. Reusing buildings like the Panoramic Motel makes lodging affordable and easy, boosting the city’s economy.

North Wildwood mixes nostalgia and modernity in old motels. Condotels that were motels retain North Wildwood’s charm and draw comfort-seekers.
