Sisters Welcome Baby Boys Minutes Apart at the Same New Jersey Hospital

When two Jersey City sisters gave birth to healthy baby boys minutes apart at Hoboken University Medical Center earlier this week, it was an unusual and touching coincidence.

At 9:25 a.m. on Monday, Sulian Datt gave birth to her third child, Noah, a boy. Noah was 7 pounds 12 ounces, arriving somewhat early on October 6. Shenti, Sulian’s sister, had her sixth child, a 7-pound, 10-ounce boy named Raph, at 10:16 a.m. Raph arrived early, before his September 27 due date.

The healthy births of both cousins filled the maternity wing with family jubilation. The hospital team said the multiple deliveries made everyone feel special. Dr. Francine Hyman, Nurse Director of Maternal Child Health Phyllis Camilleri, and her staff assisted in both births and called the day exceptional.

Hospital workers called delivering two cousins born to sisters so close together one of the most memorable moments in recent memory. These births had amazing timing, giving the Datt family a narrative to tell for centuries.

This uncommon experience shows how childbirth is unpredictable and how families bond. The sisters’ life-changing event was enhanced by giving birth in the same hospital minutes apart. Relatives, acquaintances, and medical personnel who witnessed the remarkable morning are discussing the coincidence.
