Ocean County police revealed terrifying 911 tapes of a guy softly informing a dispatcher he was shot inside his residence. Caller Allan Russell, 61, was recognized. Russell reported to emergency services from his Bayville, Berkeley Township home while seriously injured, according to investigators.

Detectives identified the gunman as 37-year-old Maplewood resident Vaughn Stewart, who was estranged from Russell’s daughter. Stewart allegedly shot Allan Russell and his wife, Michelle Russell, 60, at their Fairwood Drive house.
Stewart left the home and found his 38-year-old ex-wife, Deonna Stewart, in the street after the shootings. Authorities say he shot and killed her too. Her body and shell casings were found 50 yards from the house by police.

On April 4, 2024, Deonna Stewart filed for divorce from Vaughn Stewart, according to court records. The divorce was dismissed in January 2025.
