New Jersey Man Found Dead in Iowa River After Days of Missing Reports

Body of Missing New Jersey Man Found in Missouri River

Over a week after his disappearance, Sioux City, Iowa, authorities uncovered a New Jersey man’s body in the Missouri River. Tuesday, authorities identified the guy as Akshay Arora, 47, from Hillsborough, New Jersey.

His family and coworkers panicked when he missed a flight last week. Arora left about 5 a.m. on August 6, and his coworkers reported him missing at 5:30 p.m. after he missed his flight.

Police retrieved an underwater Missouri River car that night. Even though the car was empty, it prompted a riverbank search. The GPS last pinged near the ocean, helping investigators find the vehicle.

In the days that followed, search operations were stronger and lasted all day and night. Finally, around 5:05 p.m. on Friday, search crews found a man’s body next to the boat ramp at 1280 Larsen Park Road. Later investigations established that the body was that of Akshay Arora.

Authorities have said that there are no early evidence of foul play, but the investigation is still going on as they try to figure out what happened that led to Arora’s unfortunate death. Police have told people not to guess about what happened until they receive more facts.

This terrible story stresses the significance of reporting missing people immediately and the risks of being near large bodies of water. The local authorities are monitoring the site to ensure its safety and assist with inquiries.
