N.J. Strip Club Owners Receive Probation in Prostitution and Tax Case

Club 35, a prominent Sayreville strip club, owners received probation for prostitution and unpaid state taxes. Freehold couple Doreen and Anthony Acciardi Sr. made news across New Jersey. Both pled convicted to brothel ownership and state income tax evasion earlier this year.

The Attorney General’s Office charged the pair with multiple felonies after a thorough Club 35 investigation. Prosecutors said undercover footage revealed dancers having sexual contact with VIP customers. Authorities also accused the owners of running a nuisance business and profiting from illegal activity.

Doreen Acciardi got two years probation and Anthony Sr. three as part of their plea arrangement. The couple’s sons Anthony Acciardi Jr. of Old Bridge and Stephen of Freehold avoided jail time with pre-trial aid. If they meet court orders, their records may be cleared.

Significant financial fines were imposed. The Acciardis paid New Jersey $705,000 in taxes. Police took $420,000 in cash from the club for the payment. Authorities said the state will continue to punish business owners who evade taxes and operate unlawfully as reputable enterprises.

A plea deal reduced racketeering and money laundering charges against the couple. Club 35 will be independently monitored for five years to ensure agreement compliance.

New Jersey is cracking down on illegal prostitute companies. The case highlighted how state authorities will utilize financial accountability and criminal sanctions to deter future offenses, prosecutors said.
