Man Loses Life in Deadly Crash on New Jersey Interstate

An early Saturday morning automobile crash on New Jersey’s Interstate 295 killed a mid-40s man. Police said the Camden man died after his car hit a parked car, entered vegetation, and caught fire off the roadway.
State police say the driver lost control of his car at mile marker 9.4 in Logan Township while going south on I-295 at 1:12 a.m. A car from the right hit a parked Kia. Rolling toward the woods, it hit trees and a fence. Strong impact threw driver out of car. The car caught fire and burned totally. Police stated no one was in the stopped Kia and the crash caused no injuries.
The victim was dead from injuries when troopers and police arrived. The NJ State Police case investigator claimed things were terrible and the investigation is ongoing. Police stopped traffic on the freeway as they collected evidence and cleaned up the accident area.
Officials haven’t highlighted speeding, drinking, or car upkeep. No charges or rulings have been made. Anyone who saw or drove in the area early Saturday morning should report it or offer dashcam film.
As the investigation continues, state and local police advise against driving at night, especially near highways or forested areas, where you could lose control and hurt someone. The terrible catastrophe should encourage drivers to drive attentively and avoid distractions in low visibility.
