Longtime Tinton Falls Bar and Grill Shuts Its Doors After More Than a Decade

After 15 years, a popular New Jersey neighborhood eatery unexpectedly closed. After 16 years in Tinton Falls, MJ’s Restaurant, Bar & Grill closed permanently, severing strong ties with customers and staff.
Residents had long frequented the establishment at 1213 Sycamore Avenue. The owners announced the closure on social media and thanked the community for its lengthy support.
The owners described the restaurant as a crucial part of their lives and expressed deep sadness about the choice. They stated leaving the restaurant was hard because it represented their home, family, and years of coworker and customer relationships.
The owners wrote online that the restaurant’s loyal customers were crucial to its success. They called customers extended family who visited the restaurant often, watched their children grow up there, and shared many key occasions. The proprietors praised the community for their support during good and bad times, saying the firm would not have survived without them.
The Tinton Falls location’s closing won’t kill MJ’s brand. Many New Jersey restaurants are still run by the corporation. Customers can still visit Bayville, Brick, Long Branch, Matawan, Middletown, Neptune, and Spotswood.
Many Tinton Falls residents saw the eatery as more than just a restaurant. Through the years, families celebrated milestones, friends met after work, and the community made memories. The proprietors’ touching message showed how much they valued client connections.
The unexpected closing ends the local location’s 16-year run. The proprietors did not explain the closure, but they thanked customers for their support.
The Tinton Falls location shuts, but its nearly two decades of dining memories live on.
