Toms River, NJ—July 20, 2025:

A 22-year-old woman from Lacey Township has been arrested for a hit-and-run in Toms River that happened late at night and left one person seriously hurt and another with minor injuries.

The accident happened in the Winteringham Village complex about 11:25 p.m. on Saturday night. The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office said that police went to the area and found two men who had been hit by a car and were hurt.

A 60-year-old man was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he is still in critical but stable condition. The second victim had minor injuries and was treated on the spot.

According to investigators, the suspect hit the two people while backing out of a parking space and then sped away from the scene. Thanks to witness reports and a quick police investigation, the authorities were able to find the culprit still in the Winteringham Village area.

She was arrested without incident and is presently in the Ocean County Jail waiting for a detention hearing. People still don’t know her name or who her lawyer is.

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Major Crime Unit—Vehicular Homicide Squad, the Toms River Police Department, and the Ocean County Sheriff’s CSI Unit are all working on the case.
